The Braille Authority of North America (BANA), which meets face-to-face semiannually, will hold its 2017 fall meeting November 2–4 at The Hadley Institute for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Hadley, a BANA member organization, is located at 700 Elm Street, Winnetka, Illinois 60093, where the meetings on November 2nd and 3rd will be held. On November 4, BANA will meet at the Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel located at 933 Skokie Boulevard in Northbrook, IL 60062.

Items on the Board's agenda will include reports from all 18 BANA committees. Other items to be discussed are the 2018 budget, approval of guidelines for standardized testing, and works in progress such as reports from the two strategic work groups established at the spring 2017 meeting to move BANA's strategic plan forward.
Guests are welcome at BANA Board meetings where they can observe deliberations. However, because space is limited, observers should contact BANA Chair Jennifer Dunnam as soon as possible to reserve a seat.

The mission of the Braille Authority of North America is to assure literacy for tactile readers through the standardization of braille and/or tactile graphics.
